The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office announced that on December 17th, 2024, the arrest of Servolo M. Morales De La Roca was announced for charges of Aggravated Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. According to authorities, 4 days prior, on December 13th, 2024, the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency got in contact with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office for an alleged assault of a juvenile that had previously occurred. An investigation was promptly launched, and it was revealed that De La Roca had sexually assaulted a child that was under 13 years-old, in Fairview, New Jersey.

De La Roca was charged following his arrest in Fairview with three counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1); and second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). He was held in Bergen County Jail as his appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey, was pending.

Bergen County Prosecutor Musella notes that the charges are accusations and that De La Roca will be presumed innocent until he is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella also thanks the Fairview Police Department for their help with the investigation of this case.
