Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, and Gloucester City Police Chief Brian Morrell, announced charges against William St. John for his connection to a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred in Gloucester City. William St. John, 27, was charged with second-degree Death by Auto.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, on December 29th, 2024, at approximately 2:10 a.m. Gloucester City Police responded to a car crash that took place around Crescent Boulevard and Klemm Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, several injured individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment. After an investigation was launched, police officials stated that William St. John’s car struck one of the victim’s vehicles before fleeing the scene, and then returning shortly thereafter. One of the victims was identified as Philadelphia resident, Melina Dubosse, 62. Melina Dubosse passed away days after the crash on January 2nd, 2025, at Cooper University Hospital. Following the incident William St. John was located and arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office states that the charges against William St. John are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
