On November 6th, 2024, the arrest of Justin M. Urgiles, 18, was announced by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. Justin M. Urgiles was charged with second-degree Sexual Assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(1); third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1); and a disorderly persons charge of Assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1a(1).
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the Tenafly Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding a previous potential case of a juvenile being sexually assaulted. An investigation was then launched and Justin M. Urgiles was identified and revealed to have sexually assaulted a minor under the age of 18 in Tenafly, New Jersey.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Justin M. Urgiles are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
