On April 16th, 2024, the arrest of Joseph Holman, 41, was announced by Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives Francisco Roman Jr., and Franklin Township Public Safety Director Quovella M. Maeweather. Joseph Holman was charged with third-degree Burglary, third-degree Theft, fourth-degree Criminal Mischief and Possession of Burglary Tools, a disorderly person’s offense.
According to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, a 911 call was made reporting a burglary at a convenience store on Easton Avenue, at approximately 8:08 a.m., on March 14th, 2024. Responding officers from the Franklin Township Police Department discovered that the suspect got into the store during overnight hours, by breaking the front glass door. An investigation was launched that identified Joseph Holman as a suspect in breaking into the store. Allegedly, Joseph Holman stole NJ lottery tickets from the store, and later validated them after fleeing from the scene.
The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Joseph Holman are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
