On January 26th, 2024, the arrest of Albert J. Ketrow, age 28, was announced by Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives Francisco Roman Jr., and Franklin Township Public Safety Director Quovella M. Maeweather. Albert J. Ketrow was charged with second-degree Endangering the Welfare of the Child – Possession of Child Pornography over 1000 items.
According to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, detectives from the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit were notified of images of “Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of a Child” by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). An investigation was launched, and detectives were able to uncover that Albert J. Ketrow had uploaded over one hundred videos and photos depicting sexual abuse and exploitation of children under the age of 18. A court-ordered search warrant was then executed by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit. Several electronic devices were seized from Albert J. Ketrow’s residence, and forensic investigation revealed further evidence relating to the crimes charged against the defendant.
The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Albert J. Ketrow are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
