On March 3rd, 2024, the arrest of Anmar Oudah, age 35, was announced by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer in Charge Isa Abbassi. Anmar Oudah was charged with first-degree Attempted Murder, second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
According to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, officers of the Paterson Police Department responded to a reported stabbing in the area of East Railway Avenue, Paterson, at around 5:00 p.m., on March 3rd, 2024. Responding officers found a 30-year old male victim suffering from a non-fatal stab wound. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. An investigation launched by the Paterson Police Department identified Anmar Oudah to be responsible for the stabbing. Anmar Oudah was subsequently located and arrested at approximately 6:00 a.m..
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Anmar Oudah are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
