On January 10th, 2025, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Amira T. White, age 43. Amira T. White was charged with two counts of third-degree Theft by Deception, N.J.S.A. 2C:20-4a.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit, while working as a bank manager at a Bergen County bank, Amira T. White stole $54,648 from cash boxes that she was maintaining. In addition to the cash boxes, Amira T. White also withdrew $15,000 from a customer’s account. Amira T. White then moved these funds into her personal cash box balance in an attempt to conceal her crime. Following an investigation, Amira T. White surrendered to Bergen County Detectives on January 8th, 2025.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella stated that the charges against Amira T. White are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
