On October 24th, 2024, charges against Dennis Hubert were announced by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Dennis Hubert was charged with Possession of Child Pornography.
According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation was conducted by the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and Brick Township Police Department. The ICAC Task Force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an unknown individual sending and receiving media of child pornography over the internet. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit uncovered an internet provider address and traced it back to a residence in Brick Township. Through the IP address, Dennis Hubert was identified and traced back to his internet activity. The investigation led to a court-authorized search warrant being carried out on Dennis Hubert’s residence in Brick Township. The search of Dennis Hubert’s electronic devices uncovered several items of child pornography downloaded. Dennis Hubert was swiftly taken into custody and was held in the Ocean County Jail pending his first appearance in the Ocean County Superior Court.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Dennis Hubert are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
