On February 27th, 2024, the arrest of Clemente Lozano, age 63, was announced by Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives Francisco Roman, Jr., and Raritan Borough Chief of Police Raymond Nolte. According to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a narcotics investigation around the area of Somerset Corporate Boulevard was being concluded by members of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force, along with members of the Bridgewater Police Department. Detectives received information that Clemente Lozano, who was already known to Task Force members from prior narcotics investigations, would be arriving in a black Lexus sedan at a nearby area. It was also communicated that Clemente Lozano would be in possession of an unknown amount of methamphetamine. Surveillance was established around the area of interest. Shortly thereafter, officers found Clemente Lozano in the aforementioned vehicle, driving southbound on Route 202/206. Following the stop, officers seized approximately five ounces of methamphetamine from Clemente Lozano’s vehicle.

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Clemente Lozano are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
