Paramus Resident Charged with Murdering his Mother

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office have brought charges against an individual named Jesus Lopez (DOB: 08/19/1987) for Murder, Desecration of Human Remains, Hindering Apprehension and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. These charges were brought against Mr. Lopez in relation to the death of Susana Lopez, his mother.
On October 24, 2017, the Paramus Police Department led a welfare check at Mr. Lopez’s residence, 44 Spring Valley Road, Paramus, New Jersey. At the home, police officers found Susana Lopez dead days earlier and that her remains were on the property. Police officer of the Paramus Police Department apprehended Mr. Lopez and found her remains in the garage on the property.
JESUS LOPEZ is charged with First-Degree Murder, Second-Degree Desecration of Human Remains, Third-Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Mr. Lopez will by the Sheriff’s in Bergen County until his first appearance at the Superior Court.
All persons are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
