Jihad Goines Charged with Sexual Misconduct and Lewdness

On December 5th, 2024, it was announced by Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, Police Chief Raymond Hayducka of the South Brunswick Police Department, and Police Chief Kenneth Cop of the Rutgers University Police Department that Jihad Goines was charged in connection to over 12 separate incidents of Lewdness and Criminal Sexual Conduct. These acts span from November 2023 to December 2024 on the Rutgers University Campus

According to authorities, the Rutgers University Police Department started an investigation at the start of October 2024. They started with responding to reports for incidents taking place inside the Dickson Carr Library, and soon identified the suspect to be Jihad Goines, an active Rutgers’ Student. Jihad Goines was then arrested on December 5th, 2024, and charged with three counts of Fourth-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and several counts of Lewdness.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges are only accusations and Jihad Goines remains innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
