After an investigation that lasted several weeks, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office made the arrest of JORDAN A. JONES (DOB: 12/2/1972; an internet technology professional) of Center Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ, on charges of Possession and Distribution Of Child Pornography.

The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti. Following that investigation. the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit, on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, executed a search warrant at the home of JORDAN A. JONES during the course of an Internet child pornography investigation.

During the investigation, the Fort Lee Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutors Cyber Crime Unit determined that JONES used the internet to view, download, and possess more than 1,200 digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children. Furthermore, the Prosecutors Office determined that JORDAN JONES shared approximately 657 Child Pornography files online.

JORDAN JONES was arrested on December 10, 2019, as a result of the investigation. In a press release, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office charged Mr. Jones with one count of Possession Of Child Pornography in an amount greater than 1,000 files, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b.(5)(b)(ii), a 2nd degree crime; and Distribution Of Child Pornography in an amount greater than 25 files, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b.(5)(a)(iii), a 2nd degree crime.

JONES was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in the Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack. His attorney, Ron Bar-Nadav also of Hackensack, New Jersey, had Mr. Jones released from the Bergen County Jail before we were able to obtain a statement. The attorney did not return a call for comment.

According to the Chief Prosecutor, Mark Musella, the charges are merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
