On June 19th, 2024, the arrest of Keshawn Harley, age 38, was announced by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes. Keshawn Harley was charged with second-degree Sexual Assault, third-degree Aggravated Assault, and the Disorderly Persons Offense of Simple Assault.
According to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, an adult female reported that she had been sexually assaulted around the area of 10th Avenue in East 26th Street of Paterson, New Jersey, on June 16th, 2023. An investigation launched by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office identified the culprit to be, Keshawn Harley, and then proceeded to place the aforementioned charges against him. Keshawn Harley was located and arrested without incident by officers of the Paterson Police Department in the area of Park Avenue and East 22nd Street.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Keshawn Harley are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
