Ridgefield Park Man Ronal P. Vasquez Faces Child Endangerment and Sexual Assault Charges

On January 7th, 2025, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Ronal P. Vasquez, age 28. Ronal P. Vasquez was charged with two counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1); second-degree Sexual Assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(4); and three counts of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a.

According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, on December 29th, 2024, their Special Victim’s Unit launched an investigation into a previous alleged sexual assault incident that the Garfield Police Department reported. It was revealed that Ronal P. Vasquez sexually assaulted a minor between the ages of thirteen and sixteen while providing them with marijuana and alcohol. Further investigation also revealed that Ronal P. Vasquez sexually assaulted this same child on two other occasions in Lodi, NJ, and Passaic, NJ, both incidents being from when the child was under thirteen years old.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella stated that the charges against Ronal P. Vasquez are merely accusations and the defendant will be presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
