Three Paterson Residents Arrested for Drug Distribution and Child Endangerment

Back in August 2017, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office were notified that Samuel Irizarry, a twenty-six (26) year old resident of Paterson, was transporting cocaine from Passaic County into Bergen County. Law enforcement began an investigation into Irizarry by way of undercover detectives in multiple locations. Irizarry subsequently distributed the cocaine to the undercover agents.

On November 28, 2017, police officers set up surveillance to catch Samuel Irizarry in the act of distributing the cocaine. He distributed over an ounce of cocaine to two women, Jenece Miranda and Alma Rivera, while Miranda’s two (2) year old child was present. Jenece Miranda is a twenty-six (26) year old resident of Paterson, New Jersey. Alma Rivera is a thirty-five (35) year old resident of Paterson as well.

Samuel Irizarry, Jenece Miranda and Alma Rivera were arrested and charged with Second-Degree Distribution of Cocaine in an amount greater than one-half ounce but less than five ounces and Second-Degree Child Endangerment. Samuel Irizarry received an additional charge for Third-Degree Distribution of Cocaine for a drug transaction that happened on August 28, 2017. The three offenders will be appearing at court in Hackensack, New Jersey in the Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court on December 13, 2017.

All persons are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
