Two brothers, Fuquan Knight, 28, and Shaquan Knight, 20, were convicted of first-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery.
On October 11, 2018, the male robbery victim was robbed by three individuals behind 520 Central Avenue. The victim was forced into a corner on Halstead Street by one suspect then approached by two more, one with a knife and the other with a shotgun or rifle. The three suspects took $560 in cash, a debit card, a Social Security card, and ID card, then fled.
The victim was able to identify the two brothers Fuquan Knight and Shaquan Knight immediately. Later, he identified Kyler Knight, the two brothers’ father, as the third suspect.
Shaquan Knight had one prior conviction and Fuquan Knight had three prior convictions. Kyler Knight fled the state and was arrested for accusations of robbery in Virginia.
Shaquaan Knight was sentenced to 11 years. Fuquan Knight was additionally convicted of third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and was sentenced to 16 years. Both brothers must serve 85 percent of their sentence before they are eligible for parole.
