On December 18th, 2024, the Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Police Chief Peter Papa of the South Plainfield Police Department announced the arrest of Yamile Mattos for Unlicensed Practice of Medicine.
According to authorities, an investigation was launched into Yamile Mattos by both the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and the South Plainfield Police Department. The investigation came after Yamile Mattos’ public offers for cosmetic procedures, which included gluteoplasty and facial wrinkle removement. This directly led to her arrest on December 17th, 2024. Further, undercover investigators met with Yamile Mattos at 2500 Park Avenue, South Plainfield, for a consultation about her procedures. Yamile Mattos told officers that her name was Adrianna. While inside Yamile Mattos’ residence, officers discovered boxes labeled as Lidocaine and dermal fillers, as well as several photos Yamile Mattos showed them of clients she had worked on.
After Yamile Mattos’ arrest, syringes, lidocaine, dermal fillers, and other medical tools and substances were recovered from her home. Authorities stated that Yamile Mattos had none of the required licensing for the services she was providing.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the claims are only accusations and Yamile Mattos is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
